Founded in 1981, the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation (IALF) was built on

a bold idea: that the future of agriculture depends on the strength of its leaders.

What started as a forward-thinking initiative has grown into a premier leadership program, recognized across Illinois and beyond. With a curriculum grounded in real-world challenges and a global outlook, IALF has prepared more than 600 alumni to lead with purpose—whether in boardrooms, classrooms, communities,

or on the farm.

Over four decades later, our commitment remains the same: 

To cultivate leaders who think critically, act courageously,

and champion agriculture with integrity.

 

Today, IALF proudly operates as an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization—committed to serving the agricultural industry through leadership development, education, and lifelong connection.
