Turn Your Grain Into Impact
A simple way to support IALF through a direct gift from your operation.
Why it Matters

Your gift of grain directly supports the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation and its mission to develop the next generation of agricultural leaders.
What is a Gift of Grain
A gift of grain is a way for farmers to donate a portion of their crop directly to the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation.

Instead of selling the grain and donating the proceeds, ownership of the grain is transferred to IALF before it is sold. The grain is then sold on IALF’s behalf, and the proceeds support the Foundation.

How it Works
A simple process through your local elevator
Step 1

Deliver grain to your elevator
Step 2

Transfer ownership
to IALF
Step 3

Grain is sold on IALF’s behalf
Step 4

Notify IALF of your gift
Important Considerations
-
Grain must be unsold prior to transfer
-
Ownership must be transferred before the grain is sold
-
Work with your local elevator to complete the transfer
-
IALF must be listed as the owner of the grain before sale
We recommend working with your tax advisor or financial professional to understand how this type of gift may apply to your situation.
Complete Your Gift
Complete your gift by providing your local elevator the completed “Donor Form” and then finalize by submitting the “Gift Notification Form.”
Download and complete the official Gift of Grain Donor Form to provide to your grain elevator.
Once your grain has been transferred, let us know so we can process and confirm your gift.
